Several parts of the country will experience rains due to the shear line, northeasterly windflow, and localized thunderstorms on Thursday, Oct. 19, according to the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA).

In its latest weather bulletin, the state weather bureau said Quezon province, Rizal, Laguna, and Camarines Norte will have cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms caused by a shear line, a narrow corridor along which there is an abrupt change in the horizontal component of the wind.

Meanwhile, Batanes, Cagayan, Isabela, Apayao, Kalinga, and Aurora will experience cloudy skies with rain due to northeasterly windflow.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms caused by northeasterly windflow or localized thunderstorms.

Northern and Central Luzon will have moderate to strong wind speeds moving in a northeast to east direction, while coastal water will be moderate to rough.

The rest of the country will have light to moderate wind speeds moving in a southeast to east direction, while coastal waters will be slight to moderate.

Sunrise is at 5:48 a.m. while sunset will be at 5:34 p.m.
