NCR, 7 other areas move to Alert Level 2 starting Feb 1

The National Capital Region and seven other provinces will be downgraded to Alert Level 2 starting February 1, according to presidential spokesperson Karlo Nograles.
Nograles said the Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) also placed the following areas under Alert Level 2:
- Batanes
- Bulacan
- Cavite
- Rizal
- Biliran
- Southern Leyte
- Basilan
Meanwhile, the IATF has placed the following provinces and cities under Alert Level 3:

The following alert levels will be in effect until February 15, according to Nograles.
The country recorded 17,382 new cases of COVID-19 on Saturday, according to the Department of Health, with 213,587 active cases.
