The Land Transportation Office (LTO) on Thursday, March 21, issued a show-cause order (SCO) against the motorist involved in a viral road rage video.
The viral video showed a motorcycle rider arguing with the driver of a white delivery van before the former pierced a small knife through the other’s front tire before fleeing from the scene.
In a press release, the LTO said the motorist received the SCO for allegedly stabbing the tire of a delivery van.
“Due to the gravity/severity of the acts of the rider, please be informed that the motorcycle with plate number 851QBN will be temporarily placed under alarm preventing any and all transactions while the case is under investigation,” the show-cause order read.
Meanwhile, LTO chief Vigor Mendoza II said the incident should serve as a reminder for motorists to refrain from engaging in violent activities.
“Marami na tayong naparusahan dahil sa road rage at muli ay pinapaalalahanan natin ang ating mga kababayan motorista na iwasan ito dahil kayo din ang malalagay sa alanganin,” Mendoza said.
