The House of Representatives will approve the proposed 2024 national budget next week, according to Speaker Ferdinand Martin Romualdez.
Romualdez said that the proposed P5.768 trillion 2024 national budget on the third and final reading will be approved before Congress goes on break next week.
This came following the certification of the bill by President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. as urgent.
"We appreciate President Marcos' leadership and his prioritization of the national budget. His decision to certify this crucial legislation as urgent reflects his unwavering commitment to the welfare and progress of our nation," Romuladez said.
The House chief made a promise that the Congress would continue to uphold the principles of accountability, inclusivity, and efficiency throughout the budget deliberations.
