More than 200 bus drivers in Parañaque Integrated Terminal Exchange (PITX) were surprised after a drug test was conducted by the Land Transportation Office (LTO) on Monday, March 25.

According to RH Noche Cacas, bus drivers were about to leave for Bicol when the LTO summoned them, resulting in the delay of bus trips.

A driver who will be tested positive will not be allowed to leave the terminal, the report said.

The drug test and inspection were led by Department of Transportation Jaime Bautista, Department of Interior and Local Government Sec. Benhur Abalos, Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) Sec. Ivan Uy, Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) Chairman Teofilo Guadiz III, and other concerned government officials.

In line with this, the government officials said they are making sure that the journey of passengers going home from the province will be smooth and safe.

Officials reminded the public not to use cellphones when going outside to prevent becoming a victim of a thief.

Furthermore, make sure no appliances are plugged in before leaving the house.

Interviewed by Cacas, DICT Sec. Uy warned the public to never post on social media when going out as 'online criminal activities' are becoming rampant.

"Nagre-range sa mga 300% ang mga online criminal activities. Kita po natin na talagang nagte-take advantage 'yung mga criminals dito sa mga tao na medyo madaling maloko dahil for greed or desperation," Uy noted.
