Plane crashes in Pangasinan

A Piper Seneca training plane crashed at a rice field in Laoac, Pangasinan yesterday.

The pilot of the plane was identified as Capt. Amar Deep, a Malaysian national, Indian co-pilot Haresh Sager, and two Filipino aircraft mechanic trainees Deovannie Arzadon and Jemar Pantaleon.

According to Sr. Supt. Christoper Natnat, chief of the Laoac Police, policemen were conducting a bike patrol at Brgy. D. Alarci when they saw that the plane was crashing down.

Passengers of the plane survived the crash and were rushed to the hospital.

The said airplane has a body marking of ARP-C1034 that is registered at WCC Aeronautics flying school in Binaloan. (Luisito Antonio Santos)

 

Zamboanga clash kills 1, wounds 6

A clash between the government and supporters of Moro Islamic Liberation Front chairman Nur Misuari killed one while leaving six others injured in Zamboanga City.

In an interview with DZRH, Zamboanga Celso Loberegat said that several civilians were evacuated from their homes because of the clash.

The local government has also suspended classes in all levels. (Luisito Antonio Santos)

 

8 inmates return to jail

Eight out of the 21 inmates who escaped from the Valencia City jail yesterday were arrested once against by authorities and are back in their old jail cells.

   

Authorities hunt jail breakers

Valencia City police are hunting down 22 prisoners that broke out from the city jail in Bukidnon yesterday.

One of the prisoners identified as Reymart Balmes was immediately arrested.

Police confiscated a shotgun and two getaway vehicles from Balmes.

Prisoners took the opportunity to break out from the jail when they saw that there are only a few jail guards. The prisoners then pretended to have a riot and destroyed the back part of the prison to break out.

Man killed by fish

A 63-year-old man died after a needle fish or ‘Balo’ to locals, after the fish stabbed its sharp mouth in the throat of the elderly man in Zamboanga City.

The victim was identified as Jesus Guerrero, resident of Barangay Talabaan.

According to the report, the incident happened while the victim, along with his brother and son are fishing at the Sitio Gapuh Sea.

The three were identifying their catch when the fish jumped and the sharp mouth stabbed the throat of the victim.

The sharp mouth of the fish penetrated the throat of Guerrero as blood is gushing out of the victim and immediately died. (Rommel Fuertes)
