Yap blames Abueva for poor Semis performance

Basketball superstar James Yap is putting the blame on rival Calvin Abueva for his lackluster performance in the current PBA Commissioner’s Cup Final Four Showdown.

Yap’s performance went down since the start of the semis because he’s suffering from back problems, but it got worse because of the tension he has with Abueva.

Ever since Abueva elbowed him at the back, Yap claimed that his condition became worse and his shooting was affected because of his back pains.

Meanwhile, Abueva fired back saying that Yap should just play Chess if he doesn’t want to get hurt because you can’t avoid being physical when inside the basketball court.

San Mig Coffee Mixers succumbed to the Alaska Aces twice in a row with James only averaging seven points per game

Yap is not expected to show action in Game four, which is a crucial game for his team because they’re hanging in by a thread.   (Chris Capulso)
